「From Full-time Mum To Star Line Manager」
Jiangsu Hexing-Niu Xiuhua

In August 2020, Niu Xiuhua bid farewell to her status as a stay-at-home mom ,“walked”from home to the workshop again. Faced with a brand-new position as an ED coating hanger operator, she didn't hesitate as she saw the grassroots position as an opportunity to re-establish herself.
Like a screw in a machine, she quickly found her place. Every day, she was the first to greet the workshop's dawn and the last to see off the night's starlight. She poured her dedication into the team's 5S management: squatting on the floor, carefully wiping every corner of the equipment with a rag, even cleaning dust from the crevices. On the tool racks, every item was precisely arranged by frequency of use and operational habits. She silently memorized the location of each tool, striving to make every process just one second faster.
Her attention to detail and dedication earned her the title of "Outstanding Employee" within a month. At the award ceremony, she said, "I want to make ordinary days blossom. Even as a screw, I want to shine the brightest."
The test came unexpectedly. In March 2021, two senior line leaders left the assembly line. The supervisor's anxious gaze fell on Niu Xiuhua: “Xiuhua, we need a line leader. Do you dare to try?” Her reply was firm: “I can give it a try.” Those simple words carried a heavy responsibility.
Challenges as an assembly line leader came thick and fast: tight staffing, zero tolerance for safety lapses, pressing deadlines. She moved tirelessly across the production line—consulting, noting, coordinating. One night shift, critical equipment suddenly broke down, threatening delivery delays. Niu Xiuhua quickly assessed the situation, decisively reassigning affected workers to other stations while she stayed by the malfunctioning equipment. As she waited for repairs, she coordinated material flow. In the hours after the machine was fixed, she mobilized her team, optimized their workflow, and made up every minute lost.
Through four months of persistence and learning, she not only stabilized the line but was also formally promoted to line leader. That “I'll try” became a testament to her accountability and her brilliance.
Four years flew by. Niu Xiuhua rose step by step from the grassroots, with deep footprints . Nowadays, she leads a team that trusts her completely. Her story isn't one of earth-shattering feats, but of daily sweat and responsibility. Yet in this ordinary role, her perseverance radiates a special light—the focus of a rag wiping dust from equipment grooves, the calm when alarms blare, the steadfast hope she passes to those around her. Niu Xiuhua proves: stay grounded, shine with dedication, even a “screw” can illuminate a whole world.

「 Master Wang's ‘More Serious’ Daily Life」
Jiangsu Hexing-Wang Zibing

Workshop at seven in the morning, the machine has not fully awakened, Wang Zibing has been changed into a good uniform standing in front of the oxidation of five lines of water treatment equipment. The small notebook in his hand is full of densely packed data, he pointed to the dashboard to his colleague Li said: ‘Look at this water indicators, I think it can be optimised again.’ This details of the more serious, is his years of unchanging habits -- not satisfied with the ‘almost’, always thinking of ‘re-refinement’.
When the plant started the transformation of water reuse in the oxidation five line, he took the initiative to volunteer. For three consecutive weeks, squatting at the pipeline during the day to remember the parameters, holding the drawings at night to repeatedly deduce, even dreaming about the direction of water flow. Once in the middle of the night equipment alarm, he put on a piece of clothing to the workshop to rush, guarding the machine investigation until dawn. At the technical meeting, he proposed the use of yin and yang resin technology, many people think ‘blind toss’. But half a year later, water consumption was really halved, the strictest teacher patted his shoulder and said, ‘You kid, really good!’
Acid mist tower failure came unannounced, Wang Zibing round the tower for several rounds, suddenly squatted down and knocked the shell: ‘Add an observation window to try!’ He looked for tools to modify the hands, the window is bright, inside the acid gas blockage problem can be seen clearly. After the right maintenance, the pumping efficiency increased four times. Some people say he was lucky, but he waved his hand: ‘The problem can not be hidden, depending on whether you are willing to squat down to find.’
The worn PU wheel on the desk is his ‘treasure’. He used a red pen to draw the most seriously worn area on the rim of the wheel, and found a vernier caliper, and every day when he had time, he would measure the wheel, even the degree of wear and tear of the wheel axle were clearly recorded, and a small notebook was filled with sketches of various angles. In order to find a suitable replacement material, he ran all over the nearby material market, compared the old wheel with the new material repeatedly, and tested it again and again in the workshop. Finally, he found a replacement material, which is not only 70% cheaper, but also has a longer service life after technical modification.
Now, the preventive maintenance list he made is posted on every machine. Workers said, ‘According to Master Wang's method, the machine is less messed up.’ He never felt that he was more capable, just determined that: ‘Doing a line, you have to drill a line, in the event of a forward station, the problem will be backward.’ This down-to-earth willingness to take responsibility, the persistence of excellence, so that the ordinary post through the extraordinary light.

「 The Buck Stops Here 」
Changchun Minth-Ta Fei

The second from the left is Taffy
Amid the roar of engines and the heartbeat of steel, Ta Fei's name rings like a master key—always vibrating in unison with “solution” and “collaboration.”When the moment turns critical, he unfurls proven team-craft and lays every problem flat.
Early this year, an e-mail from the customer slammed into the production line like a thunderbolt: the HS7 roof-rail machine that had sat idle for two years had to be re-activated—immediately. The scope was tiny—validate a single vehicle, reuse the old door frame, build one spare set—yet the margin for error was zero.
On restart day the floor dropped its first bombshell: the right-hand bending gripper was gone. Ta Fei led two operators on a forty-eight-hour comb-through of a three-story mothballed warehouse; they came up empty. Everyone suspected the part had vanished during an earlier relocation from a rented plant. The entire process teetered on the brink. As the process owner, Ta Fei faced a classic stalemate: a standard re-order would take seven days and cost a fortune for a one-off need. After a long, silent reckoning, he chose the unconventional path. He commandeered an idle 330 gripper whose geometry overlapped the HS7's, clamped it to the milling table, and—through wire-EDM, keyway re-cutting, and R-angle micro-adjustments—sculpted a brand-new surrogate. The seven-day lead time collapsed into six hours, and the line's heartbeat steadied before anyone had time to panic.
At the same time, VW491's decorative strip was literally being “bent” into a dead end—its curvature swung erratically, the line flashed red, and first-pass yield nosedived. Ta Fei pulled together a “steel triangle” of equipment, process, and quality engineers, but after round after round of white-board debate the root cause stayed hidden. So he parked himself on the floor, shadowing every cycle: the problem wasn't allowed to touch the ground, so neither was him. The break came when he spotted the anomaly in real time: the set-point values on the HMI and the actual feedback from the machine were miles apart, a flaw baked in at the factory. Two frantic hours with the equipment team traced it to corrupted parameters. They rewrote the tables, micro-tuned the precision, and—through a rapid-fire series of trials—locked in the golden settings. Yield rebounded before the next shift change. One week later, that “parameter fingerprint” was cloned to every bender on site, bullet-proofing the entire plant.
When someone asked Ta Fei if he ever felt worn out, he simply replied, “The buck stops here.” It is that unflinching sense of ownership that braids everyone into a single rope, turning every crisis into a shared moment of glory.
